Jim Bailey, Senior Principal at Alamo Architects, will join the panel of the San Antonio Affordable Housing luncheon sponsored by I-LinCP – Institute for Leadership in Capital Projects, on November 5, 2025 at Maggiano’s Little Italy.
Conversation will be lively:
Jim Bailey | Alamo Architects
Pete Alanis | SA Housing Trust
Maureen Milligan | Grow America
Jacob De Neui | Gensler | Programs Chair / Moderator
Jim is a recognized thought leader in the design of multifamily environments and has overseen the design of more than 12,000 housing units—most of them affordable. His portfolio spans single-family developments to high-rise retrofits, each project reflecting his deep commitment to community and sustainable design. A signature project, Artisan at Ruiz, won the 2025 AIA-San Antonio Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) Award, “a clear win for social justice through equitable housing.”
A long-time advocate for equitable housing and neighborhood planning, Jim has played a key role in shaping San Antonio’s housing policies. He served on Mayor Ron Nirenberg’s Housing Policy Task Force, helping to develop the city’s $4 billion Housing Policy Framework, and was part of the Steering Committee for the Strategic Housing Implementation Plan. He currently chairs the Removing Barriers to Affordable Housing Committee and is Board Chair of ActivateSA, the nonprofit he founded to advance sustainable and connected communities.
Jim’s expertise in sustainable neighborhoods and multimodal transportation will add the planning and architecture perspective to the panel discussion on affordable housing solutions and community-driven development in San Antonio.
